Lighthouse Foot and Ankle Center is a podiatry practice serving patients throughout the Scarborough, Maine community.

We provide medical diagnosis and treatment of foot and ankle problems such as flat feet, bunions, heel pain and spurs, hammertoes, neuromas, ingrown toenails, warts, corns and calluses. We treat also diabetic patients with the aim to ease and avoid severe foot damage as a result of the disease, and we provide a variety of advanced orthotic treatments.

Dr. Michele Kurlanski Scarborough, ME Podiatrist

Michele Kurlanski, DPM

Dr. Michele Kurlanski is an experienced podiatrist and a caring clinical professional. She is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Care. Dr. Kurlanski is a graduate of the University of Rochester and received her medical training at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in foot and ankle surgery at Cooper Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. She is also a board certified wound care specialist and has surgical privileges at Maine Medical Center and Intermed Surgery Center. Dr. Kurlanski is a former president of the Maine Podiatric Medical Association.

Cheryl - MA

Cheryl has been a valuable member of our team since February of 2016. She started at the front desk and transitioned to medical assistant. She is a Portland native and former Marine. Her goal is to provide excellent customer service to each and every one of our patients. When not at work she loves spending time with her two children and going to the beach.


Sheila - RN

Sheila has been working at Lighthouse Foot and Ankle remotely from the Philippines for over 18 months. She originally trained as a Nurse-Midwife and graduated from the City University of Pasay in The Philippines. She schedules our new patient appointments and assists Dr. Kurlanski and Cheryl with the day-to-day operations of the office.


Do I need to see a podiatrist?
